_ Language content: To introduce the students some more new words and structures relating to the topic” Asking the Way”.
_ Language function: By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to ask and answer about the distance from one place to another.
_ Educational aim: To make the students love their country.

_ The simple present tense.
2. Skills: Integrated skills
3. Educational factor: _Knowing the distance between cities in our country.

5. Techniques: Eliciting, Pair work , Group work
6. Teaching aids: Textbooks, Chalk, BB, Ruler, Posters, Pictures, Laptop, Projector.
B. Procedures:
1. Stabilization : (2ms) Checking absence: Who’s absent today ?
2. Checking up: Asks sts. to do exercises on poster. (5ms)

_Have Sts. play a game : Hangman ( 3 words )
+ The first word has 3 letters . It is an antonym of “near”.
+ The second word has 5 letters . It is used for measuring distances.
+ The third word has 8 letters . It is also used for measuring distance.
_Remark .
_Leads to the new lesson: Today we are going to learn about asking and answering about the distance from one place to another.
II. Pre-Practice:
_Introduces the dilogue betwwen Hoa and Lan.
1. New words:
+Sure (a) [Translation]
+A long way(n) [Translation]
+Coach(n) [Picture]
+To have a guess =To guess (v) [Style]
+It takes sb time to do sth :[Translation]
Ex: It takes me 10 minutes to go to school.
2. Checking vocab: “Rub out and Remember”
_Rubs out and asks sts. to repeat three times.
3. Structures:
_Asks sts. to find structures of asking distance in the dialogue on page 82.
Ex: How far is it from Hue to HCM city?
It’s about 1030 kilometers.
_Reviews the students the way of asking and answering the distance.

Notes: How to write and read numbers: 680 , 1030, 319, 688, 791, 1726.
III. Controlled-Practice:
A4. Practice
_Has the students listen to the tape (A4) again and focus on their pronunciation and stress
_Has Sts. work in pairs reading the dialogue softly.
_Calls on some pairs to role-play the dialogue in front of the class.
_Corrects the pronunciation.
