*Open predition
Lan’s Malaysian pen pal came to visit her in Hanoi. Can you guess where she went and what she did during her stay?
(She will take her friend to temples , church
She will take them to the beach, mountains, theaters, restaurants…)
* Choose the correct option to complete the sentences
Key :
1.Lan and M aryam usually write to one another every two weeks.
2. Maryam was impressed because Hanoi people were friendly.
3. The girls went to see famous places in Hanoi, areas for recreation, a place of worship.
4. Maryam wanted to invite Lan to Kuala Lumpur.
III. Production :

a) Vien Lua Lake ->
a paddling/ swimming in Lake
b) Thuy Tien National Park -> riding elephant/ a guided hide along the edge of Thuy tien National park
c) Camly Waterfall -> sightseeing/ beautiful sight
Example :
S1: I think we should take our friends to Thuy Tien National Park. We can ride elephants and visit villages or I’ll just introduce them Vietnam’s ethnic minorities.
S2: Good ideas! I believe they will be interested in it.
V. Homework :
- Write a short paragraph about what they have just discussed with their partner
- Learn by heart new words and read aloud the text at home
- read the information in speaking part.

- T presents the vocabulary by simple English, pictures and Vietnamese
